Social media has established a new line of communication possibilities with your clients.

This is very much a three way process:

  • business to client
  • client to business
  • client to client.

Businesses must learn how to interact with clients, to understand the messages they are giving and to act on these messages in the most productive way.

It is not purely about selling.

Social media should be used for creating awareness, establishing your credibility and engaging with your audience.

Using Social Media requires time and effort if it is to be a success. Feedback to posted messages should be continual and as instantaneous as possible. So don't start a Social Media program unless you are willing to commit time.

Also don't delegate the role to somebody in your business who is not fully aware of how you, the business owner, might repond.
